This chapter describes Schedule in the sidebar: My schedule, Holiday & PTO, Available shifts, and My shifts. Accurate use of these pages helps your service staff safely and pay correctly (payroll itself may be in another system).

My schedule shows your planned duties and events as maintained by rostering — shifts, standbys, training days, or placeholders your organisation uses.
Menu path: Schedule → Schedule → Holiday & PTO
Route: /my-leave
Holiday & PTO is where you request, view, or cancel paid time off or leave according to your organisation’s rules (approval chains, minimum notice, blackout dates).
If you try to book an available shift on a day you are on approved holiday, the portal may block the booking to prevent double commitment.

This menu item is hidden for users in the Applicant role (recruitment candidates not yet approved as operational staff). Other staff roles typically see it.
Available shifts lists open shifts your organisation has published for self-booking within your locale. Unassigned shifts appear here until someone books them or rostering assigns them centrally.
The application performs several validation checks before confirming a booking. You may see a toast or message if any of the following apply (wording can vary):

| Holiday on that date | Change leave request or pick another shift. |
| Another shift already on that date | Do not double-book; resolve with rostering. |
| Clinical memos need signing | Open Clinical memos and acknowledge required items. |
| Certificates / governance documents missing | Complete uploads on Certificates (chapter 5); wait for validation if required. |
| Other InvalidOperationException messages | Read the message text; contact rostering or IT if unclear. |
Important: Treat “due soon” certificate states as a warning to act immediately even if booking is still technically allowed in edge cases.

My shifts lists shifts assigned to you or that you have successfully booked from Available shifts, depending on how your organisation uses the roster.
