CrewTech documentation lives in four layers. You only need one primary path; the others are there when you need depth or history.
Start with the job you are doing, not with “which folder in GitHub”. This page tells you which layer to open.
| Layer | Best for | Start here |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Site menu map | “I am in the portal now — I want help for this menu.” | Find help by site menu |
| 2. User manual | “I need chapters I can read in order, train staff, or print.” | User manual — contents · Chapter 00 — full TOC & routes |
| 3. Manager & configuration guides | “I am setting up Solution options, shifts, locations, or governance rules.” | Managers — documentation home |
| 4. Legacy archive | “An old bookmark or screenshot article under Asset / Personnel / …” | Legacy topics index (optional — may be outdated) |

If your Wiki.js home page is different from home.md, set the navigation sidebar or welcome page to link here so every reader sees the same four-layer explanation.
