| Tab | Purpose in everyday terms |
|---|---|
| Clinical services | Defaults for the clinical services work area (for example how far back to load shifts when managers open that screen). Helps match how your service runs day-to-day. |
| Clinical records | Options that affect patient / clinical records behaviour for your locale (feature toggles and related settings your implementer has wired up). |
| Clinical handover | Controls for handover of clinical records between staff (who receives notifications, reminders, and similar). Adjust to match your clinical governance. |
| Clinical documents | Certificate and document types (including governance types) that the system expects staff to hold. This drives “missing certificate” lists and can block open-shift booking until required items are in place. See the dedicated governance article linked below. |
| Scope of practice | Maintains scope-of-practice rows used in clinical workflows for your locale. |
| Early warning score | Configuration for early warning scoring where your service uses it clinically. |
| Safeguarding | Locale options supporting safeguarding processes. |
| Incident governance | Settings for incident governance (escalations, follow-up behaviour — align with your risk and governance team). |
| Statement follow-up | Rules for statement / follow-up reminders after incidents or related workflows. |
When someone tries to book or apply for an open shift, the system can check that their profile documents match what you defined under Clinical documents (by clinical grade, employment type, and optional driver / governance flags).
For a field-by-field explanation of the clinical document grid, open Governance documents in this wiki.
